Description

These colours are extracted from annatto seed, carrot seed, paprika pods and the root of turmeric. The extracts produce colours from brilliant yellow through to a deep red. In the USA, Europe and Canada these oleoresins can be labelled as vegetable or natural colour (annatto, carrot seed, paprika, or turmeric as the case may be). The oleoresins are usually in liquid form, although the higher concentrations of turmeric and some carrot oleoresins may be in a powder.
